The first ever Atlanta Irish Music Competitions were held on Feb. 4, 2006. Albert Alfonso, Séamus Mac Conaonaigh and Marie Reilly had the privilege of adjudicating these fine musicians. There is a very active music scene in Georgia and if you live there or will be traveling there, be sure and check the Irish Arts Foundation of Atlanta. Their upcoming concert on March 6, 2006 features the renowned singer/songwriter Tommy Sands.
